Baer records two impressions of this state, both with the second state printed onto the background, as our impression is directly onto paper, it is therefore unrecorded. From a set of working states for this subject. These impressions illustrate the creative methodology by which Picasso, with the close involvement of the printer, worked his way in linoleum cut towards a finished image.
